Which Hotels are Guest Friendly in Bangkok

All frequent visitors and revelers of Bangkok's red light districts will need a place to stay after a long night of partying with beautiful Thai women. And they'll usually invite a bar girl, freelancer or even both back to their hotel rooms. But before you even consider that you should make sure your hotel has a guest friendly policy.

What is a guest friendly policy?

There are hotels in Bangkok that will charge their guests a fee for taking a companion back to their rooms. And then there are those that don't. Thus these hotels are called guest friendly since you don't have to pay. You may have come across other terms like girl friendly and gay friendly. Non-guest friendly hotels charge up to B1,000 for bringing a companion back to your room.

Are these considered short time hotels?

No they are not. Guest friendly hotels in a way are better than short time hotels, assuming you're traveling alone that is. Short time hotels in Bangkok's red light districts charge B300 per hour. By booking a guest friendly hotel you'll be killing two birds with one stone. After all you're hotel bed will work just as fine as the bed in a short time hotel, plus you'll save yourself B300.

Are these hotels dirty and unsafe?

Most would be surprised to know that some of the best hotels in Bangkok are guest friendly. Ever heard of the Peninsula Bangkok? How about the Grand Hyatt Erawan? These are just a few names of the classiest hotels in the world that respect the privacy of their guests. It's true those hotels are also the most expensive hotels in Bangkok. However, there are plenty of locally run 3 to 5 star hotels in Bangkok that are very affordable.

Which hotels are guest friendly?

They are basically spread throughout Bangkok, but the best ones to stay in are in the red light districts of Nana or Soi Cowboy. Below are just a few hotel choices to consider:

Sacha's Hotel Uno Paradiso Boutique Suites Swiss Park Hotel S Sukhumvit Hotel Citadines Apartments

The reason why it's best to stay near the red light districts is obvious, that's where all the go go bars and freelancers are found. So if you made an agreement with your companion for short time (1 hour) you don't want to spend that time in a tuk tuk going back to your hotel that is 45 minutes away.

Needless to say many of these hotels are very popular choices for male travelers so it's best to book these hotels ahead of time. A few weeks ahead of time should be fine for low season (April-October). For high season (November - February) at least a month in advance is ideal.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels to find a full list of hotels that won't charge fees as well as information on Bangkok's infamous red light districts.

Guest Friendly Hotels in Sukhumvit Bangkok

Staying in a guest friendly hotel in Bangkok is the right choice to make, especially when you're planning on visiting any of the infamous red light districts. These hotels don't charge their guests for taking a companion back to their rooms and are the preferred choice of hotels for seasoned visitors of Bangkok's go go bars and clubs.

Hotels in Bangkok that are guest friendly are found mostly throughout the red light districts. These hotels operate and run just like any other mainstream hotel except the fact that they allow guests to invite bar girls, gay companions, lady boys and freelancers back to their rooms for an overnight stay.

One of the most popular areas to find guest friendly hotels is along the commercial districts of Sukhumvit. There you'll find plenty of shops and businesses catering mainly to tourist and the large expat community that choose to make their homes in the condos and apartments all along Sukhumvit.

The major thoroughfare of Sukhumvit road runs through two red light districts, Nana and Soi Cowboy and both are just a short 10 minute walk away from each other.

This is a good reason why most seasoned visitors of the red light districts choose to stay in Sukhumvit.

One of the most popular hotels is Sacha's Hotel Uno located on Sukhumvit road Soi 19. This stylish boutique hotel opened recently in 2008 and is just a 10 minute walk to the go go bars of Soi Cowboy.

S15 Hotel is another new property right on Sukhumvit road. It's a modern hotel close to a popular freelance hot spot called Thermae located in the basement of the Ruamchitt Hotel.

Another new hotel right in the heart of club central is President Palace Hotel, located right on Sukhumvit road Soi 11. The President Palace will put you up close to popular clubs such as Bed Supper Club and Q Bar.

All of the guest friendly hotels mentioned here are within walking distance to the BTS Sky Train, the most efficient method of getting around the commercial areas of Bangkok. You can also use it to get to Patpong red light district.

So when planning a visit to Bangkok's red light districts make sure you book a hotel that has a no joiner fee policy. Non guest friendly hotels charge a joiner fee of B1000 which can really sour your trip in Bangkok.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels for a list of no joiner fee hotels in Bangkok.

Bangkok Soapy Massage Parlors & Guest Friendly Hotels – The Perfect Combination

Bangkok's soapy massage parlors have been drawing men from all over the world for decades. The thought of a beautiful Thai girl bathing you with her body, followed by a full body massage then on to sex is reason alone for men to make the long flight. But times have changed today and tragically soapy massage parlors have seem to cut away some services.

If you've read my previous articles then you would know that today soapy massage parlors don't really offer a full nude body massage anymore. What you typically get today is a bath by a Thai girl and then on to sexual intercourse only. I noticed this started happening a few years ago.

So what do you do if you want a body massage in a soapy massage parlor?

Talk to the papasan (the guy who helps you choose the girls) and tell him what you what for instance a massage included with everything else. You see today, soapy massage parlor girls are to simply put lazy. They know men come here for one thing and that's for intercourse. Matter of fact I think they would skip the pre-sex bath if they thought men wouldn't need it.

The girls who do give massages these days are the more mature ladies. You see they are the ones who've been in the soapy massage parlors for years and were trained what to do properly.

Today most of the ladies just provide a bath and sex, like a simple freelancer off the street. But it works for them. Why? Because a lot of them are prettier. That's their advantage. That's why they can get away with not giving body massages. And that's why they still get paid more. Because they are prettier.

That's where things seem like it's heading these days so I feel sorry for a lot of guys who are new in the soapy massage parlors scene. Because these new guys in essence are getting short changed.

But all hopes not lost. If you like a particular girl you find working in a soapy massage parlor you can make a side deal with her. If she likes you, she'll agree. First negotiate how much you will pay her and for how long. I'd suggest 1500 Baht for an hour or two of her time. For longer overnight I suggest 4000 Baht. Keep in mind she can only meet with you after work or during her non working days. Just give her your phone number, and of course don't pay up front.

Those rates are cheaper then if you were to pay for their services inside of a soapy massage parlor.

You should also make sure that your hotel has a guest friendly policy. This means that the hotel won't charge you money for taking a lady back to your room. There are plenty of guest friendly hotels near Bangkok's massage parlors within walking distance.

Visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels near Soapy Massage Parlors for more information. You can also visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels for a list of no joiner fee hotels in Bangkok.

Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels – Guide to Hotels in Bangkok’s Red Light Districts

Where to find guest friendly hotels in Bangkok has been one of the most asked questions going around web forums. To be honest it's not that hard. And the simple answer is anywhere near one of Bangkok's 3 red light districts is where you will find the most guest friendly hotels.

Just what is a guest friendly hotel exactly? A hotel that is deemed guest friendly means that the hotel's management will not charge their customers a joiner fee for taking a guest back to their rooms. A joiner fee cost 500THB but it can be higher depending on the hotel. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a guest back up to your room for a 7 day holiday then you're going to be paying more money unnecessarily.

As mentioned before, the best place to find guest friendly hotels is near any one of Bangkok's 3 red light districts. Many of these hotels offer great quality and excellent service, and the room rates vary from budget to 5 star luxury.

Patpong's red light district has the fewest guest friendly hotels in the immediate area. Some of the names are Tawana Ramada, Rose Hotel and the Montien Hotel. You'll find some more along the river such as the Peninsula Hotel Bangkok, which is expensive by the way.

The area where you can find the highest concentration of guest friendly hotels are in the Sukhumvit area, which coincidentally has two red light districts named Nana and Soi Cowboy. Most of the guest friendly hotels are located along the side streets of Sukhumvit road. Some of the names of guest friendly hotels in Sukhumvit are the Majestic Suites, Amari Boulevard, Grand President and Sheraton Grande.

When you're booking guest friendly hotels it is best to book the room for two guests. In most instances the rates are the same anyway. This is just an extra safety precaution as service treatment in Bangkok's hotel can vary from customer to customer. Also since guest friendly hotels are so popular you should keep several alternatives in mind just in case your first hotel choice has no rooms available.

For more information about visit Bangkok No Joiner Fee Hotels for a list of guest friendly hotels.

New Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotel Guide for 2009

New hotels pop up all over Bangkok all the time due to the large volume of tourist from all over the world every year. And most people prefer to stay in a fresh brand new hotel.  Especially one that won’t charge you a joiner’s fee for taking a midnight companion back to their rooms.

Most guest friendly hotels can be found near and around the red light districts of Bangkok. There’s only three in total and they are all relatively close to each other. Many guest friendly hotels operate normally like any hotel. They just have a fairer policy on who you invite back to your room, even though you’ve registered your room for two.

The area with the most guest friendly hotels is between Nana and Soi Cowboy red light districts. That’s where you will find many newly opened guest friendly hotels.

Some names of these hotels are Dynasty Inn Grande, The Dawin Hotel and the Ibis Nana Hotel. All are located on Sukhumvit Soi 4. They are all about a 5 minute walk to the go go bars of Nana Plaza and the parking lot of the Nana hotel where you can find dozens of Thai freelancers hanging around. Those hotels are really in a prime location.

If you prefer to be closer to the red light district of Soi Cowboy then consider S15 Sukhumvit Hotel, President Palace Bangkok and the Paradiso Boutique Suites. All are within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the wild nightlife of Soi Cowboy.

Remember all new hotels in Bangkok go through a yearlong soft operation.  This means guest services may take a little bit longer so be patient.

The good news is many newly opened hotels in Bangkok always have special discounted room rates. It’s just a way for these hotels to draw in new guest to help spread the word around.

Finally it’s always good practice to book your rooms for two people. It’s just a formality hotels require whenever there will be two people sleeping a room, even though you are a single traveler. It normally doesn’t cost any extra so there’s no harm in doing so.

Guest friendly hotels offer some of the highest quality rooms and services in Bangkok. So don’t worry about it being some sort of seedy hotel for sex fiends. Many of these hotels are professionally managed by local Thai and international hotel companies with guests ranging from family vacationers to business travelers.

For more names of new guest friendly hotels visit Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels. You'll also find information about Bangkok's red light districts there as well.
